Wi-Fi & Printer Troubleshooting

Get your computer, Wi-Fi and printer working together

Internet dropouts, a printer that keeps going offline or devices that will not connect can make everyday work frustrating. David provides mobile Wi-Fi, printer and device troubleshooting for homes and small businesses across Brisbane Southside, Logan, Browns Plains, Ipswich and Bayside.

Based in Heritage Park near Browns Plains, David visits by appointment to check the equipment where you use it. You deal directly with David and get a plain-English explanation of the problem and the options.

Connection problems David can help investigate

  • Wi-Fi that drops out, runs slowly or works poorly in some rooms
  • A computer or device that will not connect to your network
  • Printer offline messages, stuck print jobs or a printer the computer cannot find
  • A new modem, router or printer that needs setting up
  • Devices that stopped working together after a network or computer change

The cause may be the computer, printer, Wi-Fi signal, router settings or the internet connection itself. Checking how the devices behave together helps avoid replacing equipment unnecessarily.

What happens during a visit?

David asks which devices are affected, where the problem happens and whether anything changed recently. He checks the relevant connections, settings and software, then works through the likely cause.

The work may include reconnecting devices, setting up printer software, correcting a print queue, configuring a replacement router or checking Wi-Fi coverage. Where new equipment is an option, David explains why it might help before you spend money.

Wi-Fi coverage and internet faults

A weak signal in one room is different from an internet connection that fails on every device. David can check the local network and discuss practical changes to equipment placement, settings or suitable network hardware.

If the fault appears to involve your internet provider or the incoming connection, David explains what was found and what you may need to discuss with the provider. A visit cannot guarantee a fix for a provider outage or a fault outside your equipment.

Printer setup and offline problems

David can help connect a compatible printer, install suitable drivers and troubleshoot communication between the printer and computer. Let him know the printer model and whether it uses Wi-Fi, a cable or a shared network.

A paper feed fault, damaged printer or worn component may need a different repair path. This service focuses on setup, software and connectivity; David can explain when replacement or specialist printer repair is more appropriate.

Clear pricing and local service

The rate is $140 per hour with a $100 minimum charge. Labour for personal customers is capped at $420 per computer. No travel charge and no extra charge for weekends or public holidays.

The work required depends on the number of devices, the type of fault and the network setup. Any proposed replacement equipment and its cost are discussed before proceeding. Tell David if the job involves several computers or a small-business network so the scope and pricing can be explained.

Common questions

Can you help after I change internet providers or routers?

Yes. Computers, printers and other devices may need reconnecting or their settings checked after a network change. Tell David what changed and which devices no longer work.

Should I buy a new router before booking?

You can discuss the symptoms with David first. New equipment may help some problems, but connection settings, placement or a provider fault may be the cause.

Can you set up a new printer?

Yes. David can help with compatible printer setup, software installation and connection to your computer or network. Have the printer model available when you enquire.

What information should I send?

Include your suburb, the devices affected, any error message and when the issue started. Do not send Wi-Fi passwords or account passwords through the enquiry form.
