Scope of service

Quotes and pricing
Pricing displayed on the website is general guidance only and may vary depending on device condition, complexity, parts required, travel, software licensing, or pre-existing faults. Any quoted price applies only to the work described at the time of quoting.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate fault details and disclose relevant passwords, encryption, account locks, or prior repair attempts when required.
- Maintain current backups unless a separate backup service has been arranged.
- Ensure legal ownership or authority to request work on the device, data, account, or network involved.
Diagnostics and repair limits
Some faults cannot be fully diagnosed until testing has started. Hardware or software may have multiple underlying issues. Davids Computer Repairs does not guarantee that every device is repairable or that every fault can be resolved without parts replacement, software reinstallation, or data loss risk.
Data and software
Customers are responsible for software licences, account credentials, and backups unless otherwise agreed. Davids Computer Repairs is not responsible for issues caused by unlicensed software, unsupported systems, vendor lockouts, third-party security controls, or manufacturer restrictions.
Parts, warranties and third parties
Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or customer-supplied where agreed. Manufacturer and supplier warranties, if any, are subject to their own terms. Davids Computer Repairs is not responsible for delays caused by suppliers, couriers, manufacturers, or external service providers.
Existing faults and consequential loss
Devices presented for repair may already have hidden hardware failure, malware, liquid damage, storage degradation, or software corruption. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service supplied and excludes indirect or consequential loss such as lost profits, downtime, lost business opportunity, or loss of data not separately backed up.
Payments and cancellations
Payment is due as agreed for the service supplied. Bookings may be rescheduled or cancelled where notice is given as early as practical. Missed appointments, incomplete information, unsafe working conditions, or lack of access to the device may delay or prevent service.
